Welcome Note

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to attend the 2nd Hawler Pharmaceutical Sciences Conference, scheduled during November 13-14, 2019 at Erbil International Hotel- Erbil - Kurdistan.

The organizing committee expects pharmacy academicians, researchers and professionals from Kurdistan region and all other parts of Iraq to attend the conference to gain new knowledge and share their experiences with the upcoming scientists.

This two days event will be dedicated to cover a wide spectrum of sessions related to drug discovery and development as well as pharmacy practice, pharmacy curriculum development and other related fields of pharmacy, and will feature keynote forum, presentations, panel discussions, poster session, and workshops.

The 2nd Hawler Pharmaceutical Sciences Conference will provide a unique opportunity to gather all the sectors of pharmacy (i.e. academia, community, institutional, wholesale, manufacturing, consultant, etc.) to come together, debate and attempt to resolve issues that are common to all in pharmacy and to reflect on the recommendations that were made on the 1st conference of the College of Pharmacy/ Hawler Medical University 2017.

Call for papers

Participants are invited to submit their abstracts in English and they should indicate in which form (Oral presentation or poster) they would like to present. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept on whether a paper will be presented orally or as poster and the authors will be notified accordingly.

 

Abstract submission

The abstract submission is started from July 15, 2019 to September 15, 2019.

 

Guidelines for abstract preparation:

A concise abstract is required. Abstracts should summarize the contents of the article in 300 words or less. The abstract should be structured in the following format: Background and Objective(s), Methods, Results, and Conclusion(s).

 

Online submission of abstracts

Please send your abstract to hpsc2019@hmu.edu.krd with email subject "Author name, abstract title"

 

Accepted abstracts will be published online in a conference proceeding.

 

Instructions for poster presentations:

  • Poster presentations are in English. The poster size is max. 80 cm width and max. 150 cm height
  • Title, author names and affiliation should be indicated at the top of the poster.
  • The organization of the poster is: abstract, objectives, methods, results and discussion.
  • The text should be clear, simple and self-explanatory.
  • All figures and tables should contain headings, labeled axes and legends. Font sizes should be readable at a distance of at least 1 m.
